LIVE
Reeta is a speaker and live performer that fuses poetry, comedy, music and storytelling to weave powerful narratives.
Reeta’s talks and live shows are playful and educational, inviting the audience to reflect on themselves and society. Themes include freedom, survival and hope while centring creativity, healing and self-compassion as remedies to systemic oppression and abuse. As a Buddhist Reeta provides a contemporary feminist and queer lens on ancient teachings for individual and collective liberation.
As a Dalit growing up in an arranged marriage culture that has fought for her own liberation, Reeta has a unique and powerful voice. A live performer since the early 2000s, she most recently wrote a one-person show which toured for six months in 2022/23, headlining at The Barbican. In 2022 Reeta completed the Storytelling Summer course at RADA.
A voice ahead of its time, Reeta’s talks and live shows are uplifting and energised and consistently lead audiences on a path of self-exploration.
Reeta has spoken at The Oxford Union, Bloomsbury Festival, TEDxLondon and many organisations including Oxfam, Meta, WPP, Virgin O2, Levi’s, Dr Martens and Burberry.
