Reeta Loi is an award winning activist, music artist and writer.
A Forbes100 Woman Founder and CEO of Gaysians, a platform she started to provide support and positive visibility for the South Asian LGBT+ community on being disowned by her family for her sexuality. The organisation was selected as a Top Ten Community Initiative by the British LGBT+ Awards in 2019 whilst Reeta was selected for Outstanding Contribution to LGBT+ Life. Gaysians is a network of 25 organisations UK-wide and is growing internationally.
reeta has been Guardian Pride Power listed in 2018 and 2019 and currently ranks 51/100.
She hosted, produced and curated artists for ‘#377 Scrapped’ in partnership with Dishoom, the London celebration for the scrapping of criminal legislation in India, which she lobbied for.
In 2019 she was selected as one of fifty women profiled in the ‘Stories for South Asian Supergirls’ children’s book.
